It's Friday! Which means it's time for a competition between Tori and Liz. Today's challenge was making a dress out of predetermined materials.*

The materials were as follows:
  • One black garbage sack
  • two plastic bags
  • duck-tape
  • packing tape
  • unlimited newspaper
*disclaimer: Tori was not a material.

We gave ourselves 3 min to plan a design (which ended up being too long, but ah well), and then took turns building dresses on one another.

Liz went first, building a dress on Tori.

She went for a shorter poofy skirt and simple top design with an accent of red from the garbage bag tie. (Tori was blindfolded so she couldn't watch and get any ideas for her dress... but yeah, the blindfold was pretty much pointless.)

Tori went next, building a dress on Liz.

She went for a longer more classic look, with the tulip skirt, and fitted top.

Both designs were quite different from our original sketches.

Tori thought we had more than one black plastic bag, so she had to alter how much black plastic she used, and my idea for the top ended up not working so it changed halfway through the building process, but I think they turned out quite well.
